Just a reliable pick for a mini-break over the weekend in Chorley (Lancashire) with real value for money. The meal I ordered was barely warm and served on cold plates. Make sure to check the menu ahead of time to avoid surprises.

Had a lovely time taking the kids to the nearby amusement park. they had a blast on all the rides! The hotel was clean and conveniently located for our family visit. The staff was accommodating when we checked in, which was a relief after our long drive.
My children wished there were more family-friendly meals available. A wider range of menu options would be a great improvement for families with kids.

The interiors showcase a beautiful refurbishment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with cozy decor. The bathroom comes equipped with a quality shower, and there's free WiFi that actually works, which is a win in my book.
The bedrooms are in a converted barn close to a busy main road, which can disturb the peace. The upstairs room gets ridiculously hot with limited airflow, making it uncomfortable for a good night's rest. The bed felt firmer than some metal grates I've slept on in the past. During my stay, I also found the entrance area including stairs and carpet in need of a thorough cleaning, not ideal for welcoming guests. while there's a bar/grill to dine at, be cautious about timing. the kitchen seems to shut down early, forcing one to scramble for late-night food options elsewhere.

The only downside was that our room was a bit cramped, which we didn't expect based on the price.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the cozy room with nice soft bedding and the beautiful garden area that was perfect for relaxation. It was a bonus to have good food from the pub and the option to enjoy a serene evening by the fire pit. The only downside was that the bathroom in our small room could use some upgrades, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. 😊
